Forget the Stove!!!

Jeff and I have decided that we're not going to buy the woodburning stove this year. We're planning on saving up, so that we can do it next year, and do it right.
Instead, we're going to update the entire inside of the house... We're planning on painting all the rooms, and installing new baseboard, chair/bed, and crown moulding in all the rooms. We'll also be redoing the stairway railings, and installing waiscoting (faux paneling) on the walls going up the stairs, and also in the upsatirs hallway.
We're going to start small. We've done all our research, and are ready to start buying tools and materials. We're going to start with the smallest room, and finish with the biggest. So, we're most likely going to do the entire 2nd floor this year, and probably wont get to the 1st floor until next year. We've got a lot of plans for the family room, but I think that's at least 2 years away.
It looks like we'll be delaying the "starting a family" process a little longer than expected. Probably wont get to that until 2009 now. So long as it's before I turn 30, I'll be okay ;)
It's time for bed. Good night all!

  1. Sounds like a lot of work to me...good luck. Let us know if you need help even though I don't think we are much help. Why are you delaying the family starting process? I'm a little surprised, I know you want lots of kids. Talk to you soon.

  2. Whoaaa..that's what Steve and I are planning to do, too..that if we can find one pretty soon. House-hunting is tiring and time-consuming. Can't wait to get it over with.

You know what, in term of starting a family thingy, we also plan to do it in 2009, perhaps right around or after he is done with school. This will be fun, we can have the playdate, mommy-and-me thingy, etc. And my parents already talking about starting the college funds for their grandkids! See ya Wednesday!!
