1000 miles...

We picked up our new car on Wednesday while Kristina watched Ben. Jeff drove us to walmart so we could do some grocery shopping before going to pick up Ben. It was a cold night, so we didn't get a chance to drive around much. The next day, Kristina and I left the kids with Jeff, and we went to run a little errand. We made sure to take the long way so we could both drive the car :) It was cold and rainy, but we were FREE for a good 45 minutes. Going to get some milk never felt that good (hehe).
Friday morning we set off for a long trek to Detroit for my little Goddaughter's baptism... We left at 9am and got there at 7pm. Ben was very good, thanks to two key factors: Shawn and Kristina let us borrow their dual dvd players for the car, and one of us always sat in the back with Ben while the other drove. We took turns every 2-3 hours, and when we got there, our backs were not sore at all! It was overall a nice ride.
Ben and Jaki started playing together as soon as we walked in the door! We had a yummy dinner and got a little caught up before we left for the hotel. Once we got to the hotel, Ben stayed up another hour or two because he was too busy exploring everything. He had to open all the drawers and closet doors, and was running around like a maniac. We went to bed as soon as he fell asleep.
We spent all day Saturday at Jessika and Anthony's house, just chilling and eating all day... The kids ran around and played, then we all head out to the church for the mass.

On Sunday morning, we left at 9:30 and got home a little before 8pm. We unpacked, warmed up the house, and put Ben in bed then went to sleep. Again, no sore back! We love our new mom-mobile!
