They boys have been waking up around 9am for the past 4 or 5 days. However, on Christmas morning, Derek decided to get up at 7am. We woke Ben up and set up the camcorder to make sure we caught Ben's reaction to the presents under the tree. Instead, he ran to his toy trains and started playing. Hmmmm. not the reaction we expected. It took us about 1 hour to open everything because the boys weren't into tearing everything open. Jeff and I ended up opening their presents after a little while, because they would rather play with the toys, rather than open new ones.
After breakfast, we let the boys play for a while until it was time for Derek to nap:As soon as Derek settled for his nap, Jeff and I started putting Ben's train tracks together... the goal was to use up ALL of his tracks (new and old) and let Ben play there all day while we kept Derek in the other room. (usually Derek breaks up Ben's train tacks, making it impossible for Ben to really play)
Tom, Terri, and Alex stopped by for a bit. Terri, Derek, Ben and I watched the boys play outside with Jeff's R.C. car for a while, and then we took a few pictures before they headed out
