Anyway, this morning I made chocolate chip pancakes, and all 4 of us had a very enjoyable meal. Everyone ate in peace, and there was no fighting or disciplining. *sigh* if only every day could be like that!
After breakfast, I continued working on the deck sealer for the playground lumber, and was almost done when I had to break so we could go to a combination birthday party (Natalia's 1st and Ava's 3rd). I left Derek at home with Jeff because i didnt have the energy to chase two boys around, and I figured he'd probably fall asleep on the way there. Either way, Ben had a great time - almost everyone was late, so he had the kiddie pool all to himself. Levan played in the water with Ben for a little bit, but they shared pretty well.
When we got home, I found Derek sitting at the table, wearing his engineer cap:
