We had a busy weekend last week. On friday, Jeff dug out a large area in the back yard for our compost piles, while I baked Julie's birthday cake and cut the grass away from the pumpkin plants. We got to see Becky on Saturday morning. She was in town, and gave us the pleasure of having brunch with us. We had pancakes with egg and bacon. mmm-mmm-mmm!
Once Becky left us, I frosted Julie's cake, and curled my hair for Ashley and Adam's wedding in Elmira. For pictures, click HERE. We ended up leaving the reception early, because we were planning on driving out to Oneida early in the morning, to spend the day (and night) with Jeff's family, for Julie's 20th birthday.
Camping was nice and relaxing. I got to go fishing with my friend Mark. I caught about 8 fish in about an hour, and we finally called it quits when I mustered up the courage to unhook my own fish (instead of having Mark do it for me, as usual). I must say, after all the gardening I've been doing, I am finally able to bait my own hooks too. I'm apparently no longer afraid of touching worms! My brother Julio would be so proud...
